When it comes to a person's
career, whether they are just starting (like myself) or have been in their
respective field for 20 years it is import to make goals to reach the next
level. Most of the time a single grand goal is much harder to reach, and you might
lose faith that you will reach it. It is important to create small attainable
goals that eventually lead towards your end goal.
My first stepping stone, or
my short term goal, would be to narrow down which industry or company I want to
work in, and start networking with the right people in that industry.
Once I attain that goal,
its time to more on to the next step, the medium-term goal. My
medium-term goal is to gain employment in one of the companies that I have
created and nurtured contacts in.
Finally the long-term goal,
the grand goal that was formerly not so attainable. For me my long-term goal is
to move up within one of the ideal companies for me, and to be integral in
their marketing efforts.
